Thank you very much for clarifying this. I have a D3200 and I'm experiencing a weird issue. No matter which focus mode I choose or focus area, my subject is perfectly sharp (I mean sharp as hell), but the iris of the subject is always out of focus. I don't understand what the problem might be. I even tried to lock focus on something more distant in the face, such as the ears, and then shoot. Still, the iris is out of focus. This is so annoying. Any tips Tom? Thank you.
