Just a question, can't I just skip using manual mode by darkening my subject in aperture priority mode by simply decreasing the exposure compensation (darkening the shadows)? Is this the same thing?
I've binge-watched all of your tutorials in the past two days π (awesome btw) and one of the things you suggest is to autofocus and then switch to MF so the camera doesn't refocus. Wouldn't it be easier to use AF lock or back-button focus to set the focus before you recompose?
